Worship

Our mission begins in worship, where we celebrate God's presence and are transformed by His Spirit.

Evangelism

We share the good news of Jesus Christ in word and deed, inviting others into relationship with Him.

Discipleship

We encourage believers toward Christian maturity through intentional relationships and spiritual formation.

Compassion

We minister to the world through acts of love and mercy, addressing both spiritual and physical needs.

Education

We prepare women and men for Christian service through higher education and ongoing learning.

Our Core Values

Christian

As members of the Church Universal, we join with all true believers in proclaiming the Lordship of Jesus Christ and affirming the historic Trinitarian creeds and beliefs of the Christian faith.

Holiness

God, who is holy, calls us to a life of holiness. The essence of holiness is Christlikeness - reflecting the character of Jesus in our daily lives, empowering us to love God and others.

Missional

We are a sent people—into homes, workplaces, communities, and villages as well as other cities and countries. Our mission is to be actively participating in God's mission of reconciling the world to Himself.

Living Out Our Values

Our values shape our identity as a community of believers. They guide how we worship, serve, and relate to one another and the world around us. Through these values, we strive to become more Christlike in our character and actions.

We believe these values are rooted in Scripture and provide a framework for faithful living. Whether we gather for worship, serve our neighbors, or engage in discipleship, these core values are expressed in all we do.

Articles of Faith

The following are the essential tenets of our faith. While this is not an exhaustive statement of our beliefs, it represents the core doctrines to which we hold:

1. The Triune God

We believe in one eternally existent, infinite God, Sovereign Creator and Sustainer of the universe; that He only is God, holy in nature, attributes, and purpose. The God who is holy love and light is Triune in essential being, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

2. Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Second Person of the Triune Godhead; that He was eternally one with the Father; that He became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and was born of the Virgin Mary, so that two whole and perfect natures, that is to say the Godhead and manhood, are thus united in one person very God and very man, the God-man.

3. The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Triune Godhead, that He is ever present and efficiently active in and with the Church of Christ, convincing the world of sin, regenerating those who repent and believe, sanctifying believers, and guiding into all truth as it is in Jesus.

4. The Holy Scriptures

We believe in the plenary inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, by which we understand the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, given by divine inspiration, inerrantly revealing the will of God concerning us in all things necessary to our salvation, so that whatever is not contained therein is not to be enjoined as an article of faith.

5. Sin, Original and Personal

We believe that sin came into the world through the disobedience of our first parents, and death by sin. We believe that sin is of two kinds: original sin or depravity, and actual or personal sin.

Putting Faith into Action

We believe that faith is more than intellectual assent to doctrines. True faith transforms our hearts and manifests itself in loving actions toward God and others.
