Marcus Wilson

Marcus Wilson grew up in Oklahoma City and moved to Tulsa to attend Oral Roberts University, where he earned his degree in counseling with a minor in theology. During college, he was actively involved in campus ministry and discovered his passion for working with teens and young adults.

After graduation, Marcus worked with several youth-focused organizations before connecting with Ecclesia in 2020. He was immediately drawn to the authentic, relationship-based approach to ministry and saw an opportunity to create a space specifically designed for young people to explore faith in a supportive community.

Marcus brings a unique blend of energy, empathy, and theological depth to his leadership. He believes that young people need space to ask difficult questions and wrestle with their faith, all while being surrounded by mentors who can guide them without judgment. His background in counseling has equipped him to address the mental health challenges many young people face today.

The Youth Gathering moves between different locations to make it accessible to teens throughout Tulsa. Marcus coordinates with parents and other adult volunteers to ensure safe transportation and environments. The gathering has a different format from the adult gatherings, incorporating more activities, discussions, and service projects designed to engage young minds and hearts.

When not leading the youth gathering, Marcus works part-time as a school counselor and enjoys rock climbing, playing guitar, and trying new coffee shops around Tulsa.
