James & Sarah Johnson

James and Sarah met at college in 2010 and have been married since 2015. Both grew up in church communities but found a deeper connection to faith through small group settings during their college years. This experience shaped their vision for ministry and community building.

James teaches History at Edison High School and coaches the debate team. He is passionate about helping young people develop critical thinking skills and find their voice. Sarah works in the pediatric unit at St. Francis Hospital where she has been for the past 8 years. Her compassionate approach to healthcare has been shaped by her faith journey.

The Johnsons started hosting the Midtown gathering in their home after being part of a similar community in Kansas City before moving to Tulsa. They believe deeply in the transformative power of breaking bread together and creating space for authentic relationships to form around the study of Scripture.
